The State Islamic Institute (IAIN) of Palu, Central Sulawesi, held a ceremony to commemorate the birthday of Pancasila, taking place on the campus, Saturday 1 June 2019.
IAIN Palu Chancellor Prof. Dr. H. Sagaf S Pettalongi M.Pd was the leader of the ceremony, attended by all the vice chancellors, deans, deputy deans, head of sub-departments and administrative staff and lecturers of the university.
The ceremony started at 7:30 a.m., took approximately one hour. After the ceremony, it was included with greetings before the Idul Fitri 1440 Hijri.
Some employees did not take part in the ceremony, because they were going home. Like Nur Korompot, who did not take part in the ceremony at IAIN Palu, but attended a ceremony at the office or school under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion in the destination of going home.
Prof. Sagaf Pettalongi when reading the remarks of the Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) of the Republic of Indonesia, stated that Pancasila is an establishment that must continue to be fought for.
"The diversity of geographical, flora, fauna conditions and the anthropological and socialogical aspects of society can only be woven in an inclusive nationality frame," said Hariyono, Acting BPIP RI in his remarks read by Prof. Sagaf Pettalongi.
Thanks to Pancasila, which is linked to the values of inclusiveness, tolerance and mutual cooperation to be a blessing.
The blessing of Pancasila as the guiding star of diversity becomes a national identity in the slogan of Unity in Diversity.
"In that context, in accordance with President Jokowi's message that commemorating the birth of Pancasila every June 1 is a necessity," he said.
